What happens when a school community comes together with a shared purpose?

Something truly special.

The Edusmart Dance 2026 was an incredible evening filled with good food, great company, dancing, laughter and generosity — but most importantly, it brought our Edusmart families together to support a project that will make a lasting difference to our learners. Thanks to the incredible support of our parents, families, staff, sponsors and donors, the proceeds from the evening have raised enough money for Edusmart College to complete our artificial grass project.

We danced the night away at the beautiful Highberry Vineyards & Venue, and we would like to extend a special thank you to Leanne Munck for providing such a fabulous venue for our celebration. The evening was a wonderful opportunity for our Edusmart families to step away from the everyday school routine and simply enjoy spending time together. Of course, there was plenty of entertainment and excitement throughout the evening, including an auction that added to the fundraising efforts.

A huge thank you goes to Shaun Toms, who took on the roles of Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer for the evening and helped make the event such a success.

While the evening was certainly about having fun, there was a much bigger purpose behind the event. Our artificial grass project will create an improved outdoor space for our learners to enjoy. The completion of this project means that the generosity shown by our school community will translate into something our learners can experience every day — a beautiful, practical space designed with them in mind.

This is what makes school fundraising so meaningful. It isn’t simply about reaching a financial target. It is about investing in our children and creating an environment where they can learn, play, explore and grow.

A successful fundraising event takes an entire community, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part. Our dedicated staff went above and beyond, putting in extra hours and giving so much of themselves to make the evening possible. Our Parent Committee worked tirelessly behind the scenes to arrange donations, prizes and sponsors, and their dedication made a tremendous difference to the success of the event. And, of course, we would not have been able to achieve this without our Edusmart parents and families who supported the event by attending, donating, sponsoring and helping wherever they could. Every contribution mattered.

We would also like to thank Simon and his amazing team for providing delicious pizzas and burgers, as well as for their helpful and friendly service throughout the evening. To everyone who donated, sponsored, purchased auction items, attended the event or helped behind the scenes: thank you. Your generosity has helped turn an idea into something tangible for our learners. Building Something Better for Our Learners. The completion of the artificial grass project is more than a fundraising achievement for Edusmart Academy. It is an investment in our learners.

It represents what can happen when parents, staff and the wider school community believe in the same goal and work together to achieve it. We are incredibly proud of what our Edusmart community has accomplished and incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make it possible. Together, we are creating a better space for our learners — one project, one event and one act of generosity at a time. Thank you for believing in Edusmart Academy, for standing behind our school and, most importantly, for always showing up when it matters. We cannot wait to enjoy our new artificial grass space with our learners!
