Our beautiful journey
The Edusmart Group had its humble beginnings as Edusmart Learning Centre – a homework and reading centre in 2018. Since then we have established Edusmart Academy, Futuresmart Academy, a non-profit company (Futuresmart Africa NPC) as well our own high school, Edusmart College.
Our team of professionals help students overcome learning and socio-emotional barriers, providing them with the tools and guidance they need daily.
Foundation Phase learners (Grades 1-3) are provided with the necessary building blocks in a small group environment to gain confidence for the challenges of the next phase of their educational journey.
Intersen Phase learners (Grades 4-7) are given a backpack filled with 21st-century skills, utilising Google Workspace for Education in the classroom. These learners each require a laptop and headphones.
Our learners do not flourish in the overpopulated classrooms of mainstream schools.
Our typical learner profile is that of a learner whose learning profile includes the so-called “silent barriers to learning”, such as ADD (ADHD), Tourette’s, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, or a learner who simply needs a smaller classroom environment to grow in academic, personal and socio-emotional confidence.
We empower our learners for the future
We focus on enabling learners to find their ideal learning style and celebrate their strengths. As of 2026, our learners have the opportunity to continue their high school career at our high school, Edusmart College.
Grade 1-3 learners are assisted with the foundations of learning, while Grade 4-7 learners sharpen their digital skills by accessing content via Google Classroom on their personal laptops, and learning to use related Google Apps such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Email and Google Sites.
We are a Christian-based school that accepts, welcomes, respects and embraces learners of diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
